Yes, but I can't figure the command to see if it ACTUALLY RAN on the
workstations. It's configured to run, but the previous tech I'm not sure he
set it correctly.

Are you using the Symantec Service Console (Not sure of the exact name)?
This is where you can monitor and change the groups as well as server and
client scans...

We have Symantec. From the previous networking admin, I was told it was
set to run scans each night on desktop workstations. I see that the
virus definitions are up to date -- I see that the C drive is supposed to
be scanned -- but i don't see any actual scheduling of that. How can i
find out if it was actually run? I look on the client's desktop but
there is no information there (including no scheduled backups). The
desktop doesn't tell me whether it was run or not.

Obviously this is a big issue for me.
