I have several 2003 servers that have graphics problems after the
installation of one to the two security patches ained at the graphics
vunrebility. All are HP servers with Rage XL engines. After the
installation of the patches the drive reverts to the VGA built-in driver and
the color mapping and fonts are not correct. I can not change any video
settings. Forcing a driver update from the original setup media resolves the
problem with the engine, but the display is still messed up. The color
mapping is off, the fonts are incorrect and dialogue boxes incorrectly sized.
Some screens have the text and background the same color. I suspect a
config file or ini file has been changed, but can not figure out why.
Any ideas.
