Hi,

Just a quick update.

Yes, driver works and it is the fault of a multi-function VGA card.

Thanks.

Actually, XP drivers all should work.

Let me suggest that you check the services.msc and make sure that the
necessary services are turned on.

Hi,

I understand Windows 2003 server is not designed for home and personal
use, and it uses build-in standard VGA driver for many VGA cards, such as
the one we are using now.

However, I'd like to use the server, sometime, as a workstation since its
loading is not so heavy and does have plenty disk space left than our
other PCs.

So my question is, are there any mainstream VGA cards (or VGA chips
should I say) that do have "drivers" work for Windows 2003 server and do
not have to use the server's native driver?

The problem for using native driver is many DirectX functions have been
turned off, such as Direct3D and AGP.

FYI, I have tried many times for drivers designed for XP/2000, and in
theory, they should work on Windows 2003 server, but in reality, most of
them don't.

So would appreciate specific vendor/model who do provide drivers designed
for Windows 2003 server instead of generic Windows drivers.

Many thanks.
