Standard = 4xCPU, 4GB RAM
Enterprise = 8xCPU, 64GB RAM.
Enterprise x64 = 8xCPU, 1TB RAM
Datacenter = 32xCPU, 64GB
Datacenter x64 = 128xCPU, 1TB RAM
You'll be more disappointed to learn that only 2GB of that 4GB is
available for applications.
You should read Oracle's white paper on deploying 10g on the Windows
platform. They discuss using the /3G switch to overcome the 2GB memory
addressing problem. They also mention using Xeon architecture to
overcome the 4GB limit (although not at best performance), using up to
64GB in buffer addressing.
But, Microsoft does not openly support this in Server 2003 Std.
Edition. Oracle might, but they don't explicitly state this.
Your Oracle rep should know. Or, should have known.
Curious, was Server 2003 Std. a cost-based decision? There are many
other O.S. that are capable.

Alan
