First off you are always at a risk giving non Admin users administrative
access to any server. There I cannot help you out. For now yes, you can
change the Administrator password as long as you are aware of where it iused
to run services or apps. Yes create a Developers group in AD the create a
Developers group on the local machine and add the Developers AD group to the
local one. that would be the proper way to do it.

Thanx Allen,
I understand now. Can I simply reset the pw on this account and reflect
the change within the services console? Then create a "Devlopers" group
in AD, add the users and give them read only rights on te 2000 boxes?
Thanx again
