Re: MSDE 2.5 SP3 Get this thing off

Assuming you really meant to say MDAC, the latest and greatest is 2.8 SP1
and it is available for download via the Microsoft web site.

As for removing MDAC 2.5 SP3, I don't believe it is possible since it is a
core component of the operating system.

As for options, I have yet to see an application get corrupted when moving
to SP4 for Windows 2000. That service pack has been out forever it seems
and every vendor should have updates in place to deal with it by now.
Therefore if you still have an application that isn't compatible with the
service pack, I would get on the phone and start working with them.
