Re: hide folder and file to users without permissions

Hi there

Microsoft introduced a feature called Acess-based enumeration (ABE) in
Windows Server 2003 SP1. So, provided that's what you're running on your
server, you'll be fine.

While the software required for ABE is built in to SP1, the tools you need
to enable it are not.

Here's a download that contains more information.

Windows Server 2003 Access-based Enumeration

GUI and a Command Line Interface to enable Access-based Enumeration.

You can install the GUI/command-line tool either on the server in question,
or on an administrative workstation or server to administer the feature
remotely.

Hope this helps

Oli
