What does R2 stand for?

Hi,

Have seen many news and articles about the new R2 version of Windows Server
systems.

But none of those articles including those from MS tells what does R2 stands
for?

Maybe it's a stupid question but appreciate if someone could tell a normal
person like myself for what does R2 stand for?

Many thanks.
