Re: DFS Replication question

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi Jason,

Thank you for getting back to me but perhaps I was not clear enough in my
previous post. I read the articles that you referred me to but none of them
are helping me out.

This is what I am trying to do:

Replicate specific folders between to 2 2003 DC's over a WAN VPN.

Here are my questions:

1. Where can I find a step by step of how to do this?

2. Lets say I choose folder \\server\share\test. I now want that folder
to replicate to \\server2\share\test. I can't find anything that tells me
how to do this.

3. I want to be able to have automatic synching which it looks like DFS and
FRS will accomplish. What are the shortcomings? I see that R2 will have
some improvements but I don't know what.

Thanks again for replying back to me.

John
