Unable to install SP1 on Windows Server 2003

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

I am unable to install SP1 on Windows Server 2003...It starts to install and
at the end, it says 'unable to install catalog files'. The server then
reboots w/ no error messages. When I check the server properties, it
doesn't say that Service Pack 1 is installed, but it is listed in Add/Remove
Programs. When I try to remove Service Pack 1, it says 'File not found'.
Reinstalling the service pack gives me the same error message. Does anyone
know how to get around this problem...?
