Re: Remote File Access

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

My company has three (remote) users that frequently share and modify
documents (Word, Excel, and PDF) amongst themselves. Two are in one
office and another works from home. All users access the Internet using
DSL with NAT configured on the router. They do not have static IP
addresses. All users are using XP Pro. I need to find a secure and
efficient way to house these particular files on a server here on our
network, where all three may log on and work on them as they need to. I
have a Windows 2003 (standard) server I can dedicate for this purpose;
it is sitting behind a Cisco PIX firewall connected to a T1 line. Does
anyone know the best way to set this up? FTP, VPN, etc… I don’t mind
educating myself as to the particulars, but just need a little help
towards the right direction. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Ed_7725

you could use sharepoint for that
usable over any IP network
share documents is native in Office 2003 and in combination with sharepoint
