RE: Recovery console password problem

Hi Darrell,
The article I'm referring to is:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;888301
In it is described the problem I'm having. The passwords of the server I
know them all, since I'm the admin and installed it. The problem is due to a
known issue that apparently happends when I installed the active directory
from the media CDs. It overrides the way windows stores the passwords and
recovery console is not updated to be able to access them. Well it can be
read right from the article.
It is kinda the problem WinXP has with recovery console and password. Its
just worst in Win2003 cause they DON'T publish the files to install as they
do to solve the problem with XP, where I could boot from CD with the
solution. In this case I'm supposed to call support, pay the time, where
they'll finally tell me to re install (as I did, btw), cause the idea is to
apply the files support would provide BEFORE u have the need to access
recovery console from a critical failure (which appeared after a reboot from
a Windows update, btw).
Thx anyway.
