I need to appropriate more RAM to the OS (Win 2003 Svr) beyond 4gb.
How do you do this? I have 8gb of RAM in the server, but Windows only uses 4.
I used the /3gb switch in the boot.ini file, but it doesn't help.
Is there a way?

If you are using Windows Server 2003 Standard then there is a cap for amount of RAM supported: 4GB. You need to upgrade to Enterprise Edition to be able to use anything beyond that amount.
