I am not sure what operating system or type of computer you are referring to
but if you do a shutdown at the console does it turn off? If not the bios
probably does not support this, you might see if there is an upgrade or
setting. Older computers usually do not turn off completely.
I assume the system is Windows 2000 or greater.
