Event ID 40960 & 40960 - Kerberos Authentication Error

Hi There,
I have the following problem and would greatly appreciate any assistance to
help me resolve it (after trying lots of avenues without success)?

The System Event log on my Winodwss 2003 domain controller shows the
following warning message as it tries to communicate with my SQL2000 server
(OS also Winodws 2003 server). This warning repeatedly appears in the
system log.

Description:
The Security System could not establish a secured connection with the server
cifs/SVRSQL1 No authentication protocol was available.
