I am not totally sure about this, but I am pretty sure that would break
something. I think that there would be too much stuff to fix to try to do
it like that... Mainly SID account ID's for computer accounts, DC's etc.
If the primary facility has communication with the secondary facility I
would just add the dc's to your existing domain, putting them in to a new
site. In the event that your primary site fails, split the fismo roles
between the remaining servers. Then you have the choice to use NTDSutil to
remove the failed servers from AD, or restore them from backup.
One of the companies that I used to work for kept a dedicated server in a
hosting facility with a copy of exchange, ad, iis, and dns running to act as
a fail over if the main site went down. We used a VPN connection to sync it
up, and it worked very well.
