Disabling editing of event logs
Is there a way to disable the ability to make changes to the event logs
(including clearing them out altogether)? I have tried and the best I
have been able to come up with so far is disabling access to the event
viewer MMC snap-in through Group Policy, but that is not ideal because
I still want users to be able to view the logs, just not make changes
to them. If possible, I am looking for a solution that works through
Group Policy on a container of servers.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
