Yes, I have 5 win2k3 servers now. One I applied it and the server became
almost unusable (lucky file sharing still worked barely), on two others
the system event log was always "corrupt and unreadable" even after trying
multiple times to disable event logging, delete files and re-enable. The
FUBAR server also had this issue which made trouble shooting and exercise
in futility. Also, at least one server now has IIS become unusable after
a period returning some 500 error until IIS is restarted.
I'm too scared now to try applying to my other two servers!
Also a test server @ home since SP1 applied has now a slightly broken
WSUS. There is an expired update for Server 2k3 Itanium edition which can
not be declined. It pegs the CPU for a minute or so and then gives a time
out error with a bunch of DB errors in the details.
I think I shall wait for SP2 to try again SP1 is worthless in a lot of
cases. :)
