Pagefile will not move from drive C
Hello,
I am experiencing a problem trying to move a pagefile from partition C to D.
This server was upgraded from an NT4 PDC to 2003 last year. It is a raid5
system with two partitions. As far as I am aware this problem has existed
since the upgrade, it is just now causing us some problems. It seems that no
matter what options I set the pagefile size to, the settings are ignored. A
2GB page file is created on the C partition filling it up. I have tried
setting no paging file on the C partition and a set a size range, a fixed
size, or windows managed size on D, yet a 2GB page file remains on C. Upon
trying to delete it, it says that it is in use. I have also tried setting
the page file size to be much smaller on C and yet it still remains at 2 GB.
The following HAS worked, setting no page file on both C and D partition,
rebooting with that setting will allow me to delete any page files that
remain. Once the page files are gone, I can set a page file size setting on
the D partition and the file is immediately created on D. However once the
server is rebooted, a pagefile reappears on the C partition, causing it to
become full. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in
advance!
