slow logins when redirecting My documents

I've recently installed a windows 2003 server with sp1. Everything is
working fine except "applying personal settings" is taking too long when a
user logs in. I've tracked the problem to the redirection of My Documents in
the policy. When I don't redirect My Documents the login is quick. Even if
I redirect Application Settings the login is still quick. It seems to only
slow down when I redirect My Documents. I'm gonna try to uninstall SP1 and
see if that helps.
