RE: Differences between Change share permission and Modify NTFS permis

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hi,

Modify and Change are the same thing really. However, Share Permissions and
NTFS permissions when combined are the "most restrictive" therefore. Read
Share and Modify NTFS = Read. Change Share and Read NTFS = Read. Change
Share and Modify NTFS = Modify.

Personally I don't use Share Permissions. Have no real use for them as all
my drives are NTFS and I have no Win9x clients. I leave share as
Everyone=Full Control and use NTFS instead.

Cheers,

Lara
