I have changed network card for several reason over the ages in my Win2k3 EE
server. The problem is windows seems to remember them even if they are not
longer in the system. To complicate matter Windows seems to consider a
network card moved from one slot to another as being a different card and
wants to remember the old one. I have selected the option to view hidden
devices but the system still does not show the cards.
Is there a way of removing the remnants of the old cards from the system?
The reason for this is when I change setting on the cards that are currently
in the system I am getting warnings about cards that are no longer in the
system. I also feel that several of my problems are being caused by the
cards that are not there.
Regards,
John
