Thanks for the info.

I am DEFINITELY going to get at least a RAID 1 if not RAID 5.
I will probably go with and external USB 2.0 or Firewire HDD for backup, or
the new Iomega REV 35/90GB for backups over tape.

Any input on the OS for the server? Do I need to run 'server' software?

I am unclear as to the benefit of server software and 'CALS' for our
situation.
