I didn't find a free one, this one's 14 day trial with a nag screen after
that??? That's what it looks like... You can probably find a free version of
it somewhere but I've already checked snapfiles.com for one and there's
nothing there. I also looked in the rest of the same category for free stuff
in downloads.com but there wasn't anything there other than this particular
one. I hope it does what you want, it appears to...

I do know that my PC has an option in BIOS to turn the PC off at a certain
temperature and, if I recall, there's some software that came on CD with my
motherboard in this particular PC, which does similar things from within the
OS itself IIRC. I have an Enermax System Monitor (and card reader, USB,
firewire, fan control, etc - just for the pretty lights I tell ya!) in this
box that tells me the temperature and it's never spiked high enough for me
to worry about it. Current CPU temp is less than 97 degrees... So I've never
played with it nor even installed it. It's a GigaByte board, this particular
one, and your MOBO vendor may actually have such a critter on their site.
You should try digging deep within their site and don't be afraid to call
them on the phone or email them for assistance. They'd MUCH prefer you use
such an application than RMA the board because you were busy OCing it and
making it run too hot and may very well have one on hand. I doubt that they
will if they're a major OEM like Dell or Gateway but you may be able to
approach the MOBO manufacturer with such a request and skip the OEM
directly.
