Can't create working boot.ini file for RAID 1 configuration

I have been trying, to no avail, to create a boot disk for one of my Windows
2003 Servers in case the the hard drive Windows is loaded from fails. I am
using a Dell PERC ATA/100 4 channel RAID controller (PCI card), with hard
drives plugged in to channels 0 and 2 on the RAID controller.
I have copied the ntldr, ntdetect.com and boot.ini files to the disk and it
seems to boot fine, but then I get the error telling me there's a problem
with my hardware configuration and to consult the manual.
Also, here's what the boot.ini file looked like before modification:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\Winnt="Windows 2003 Server" /fastdetect
With this line in the boot.ini file the computer boots fine.
I wasn't sure exactly how to modify the boot.ini file so I tried several
variation but none of them work.
Does anyone know how to make this server boot off of the 2nd drive in the
mirror? Remember, the drives are installed on channels 0 and 2, and its a PCI
card RAID controller... thanks for any help!
