Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Trouble was I could not get into a screen to do anything..

But, I fixed it... Booting from the CD with disk 1 in the drive, I chose 'R'
for recover, and finally got to c:\windows, but soon found out I could go no
further than c:\ and was still unable to delete the software that came with
the UPS... So, checking the commands I could use was a LISTSVC (list
services) and low and behold, there it was, "UPS" was listed as a service.
Three of them... 2 manual, and 1 auto. I then entered DISABLE UPS at the
c:\windows prompt, and re-booted, and have lived to tell about it...

Problem Solved, and I learned something new today!
