SNMP

Hi there,

I am having difficulty with SNMP and Windows 2003. We are in the process of
setting up CACTI (Linux monitoring tool) to monitor disk usage over the
month.

Our IIS server has over 500 IP addresses assigned to it as it used for web
hosting. We find that we are unable to query the SNMP for any information -
we are also unable to shutdown the SNMP service gracefully, we have to kill
the process.

Has anyone run into this issue in the past? Is there a workaround? Is this a
limitation or bug of SNMP service in Windows 2003 - its not able to handle
this many IP addresses. We have tried on a few servers in our farm with the
same issue.

Any help appreciated.

/D
