I have a windows 2000 sbs running exchange server and ISA server. Windows
update ran on 5-26-05 and installed the following updates.
- Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (KB890923)
- Security Update for Windows 2000 (KB894320)
- Security Update for Windows 2000 (KB893066)
- Security Update for Windows 2000 (KB890859)
- Security Update for Windows 2000 (KB893086)
- Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1
- Update for Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) 2.0 and WinHTTP
5.1 (KB842773)
The server restarted automatically and now the Microsoft exchange
information store service (store.exe) is listed as "starting" in the services
applet. This seems to be holding up the backup job because veritas 8.6 just
hangs when it tries to backup the exchange database. I also noticed that
anytime I try to remove programs with the add/remove tool it times out. My
thought was to remove these updates but I can't seem to do that because of
the problem mentioned above.
Does anyone have an idea for me?
Thanks,
Adam
