have you run a chkdsk on this drive?
have you looked at the tapes that crashserv backed up to see whats on there?

If you're certain that the space isn't being used "legitmately" then we're
down to disk corruption, magic data pixes, or hackers that are better at
hiding files than your current set of tools are at finding them; which do
you think is most likely? My money would be on my first guess, followed by
my third.
