Re: Proximity Sensor Access to Windows That Re-Uses Door Access Control System

How do you figure that a question asking about windows
authentication - which is a service performed by a Windows 200x
Active Directory Server - is irrelevant?

There are a number of hardware assisted solutions for
authenticating to an Active Directory Server, including biometric
(fingerprint, iris), smartcard, etc. Unless you have forgotten,
Microsoft itself is selling some Biometric access technologies,
and Microsoft appears to support add-ons to Active Directory for
hardware authentication.

If hardware-assisted authentication for Windows 2000 login is
topical to this group, my question was just a focused subset of
the more general topic. I wanted to find a way to have the same
proximity sensors we use for door control also work for computer
access.
