sp1 and outlook rpc http functionality

I use 2003 as my workstation OS (since I do a lot of programming on IIS
6, BizTalk 2004, SharePoint, etc.)
Until I installed service pack 1 RTM a few days ago, I had no issues
with my Outlook 2003 client accessing our Exchange server via mapi over
http. Once I installed sp1, it is unable to log me in, so it stays in
offline mode. I uninstalled the service pack and things are back to
normal. I can wait until this is fixed but I wanted to post this here
to let Microsoft know.
I know I'm not the only person with this issue based on similar posts
on this board. Here is another example...
"I just successfully applied SP1 to a server that I use as my
workstation (for developmental reasons). Everything seems to work fine
except for Outlook 2003 using RPC over HTTPs. This worked flawlessly
before the upgrade, and it was the very first thing I checked after
rebooting. Now when starting OL2003 I get the security prompt
(expected) however it does not accept the proper credentials and keeps
looping until I cancel. OL2003 is
then in offline mode and will not connect to the Exchange server.
Has anyone else seen this and if so do you have a solution?"
How to configure RPC over HTTP (I've tried all of the troubleshooting
steps here)...
