Security Log Always Full Despite Settings
On a Windows 2003 Server, I have my security log set to 2048 kilobytes and to
overwrite events as needed. When I log onto the server I'll get the message
"Security Log Full", so I'll go into the event viewer. The event viewer
leaves the memory as I set it, the 2048 kb, but now the bullet is set to Do
not overwrite events. I'll clear the log, and reset the option. About after
a week or so, I'll log onto the server and get the "Security Log Full"
message again. I know there was a hot fix for this, or maybe something else.
Any ideas on how to resolve this problem?
Thanks!
