The time service issue was fixed by following
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892501 and rebooting.
However, the Service Pack has been removed from the Server as Users were
unable to FTP files to or from the server that were greater than approx 1Mb.
With the Service Pack removed the functionally has returned.
The error with the Group Policy remains despite restoring the winnt\security
folder from tape and rebooting.
The SP uninstall had 1 error saying it could not find cache.dns.
IMHO the Service Pack is a pile of rubbish and will not be installed again
on our Servers or any of our clients. My Company has wasted valuable time
and potentially lost a lot of money because of what appears to be inadequate
real world testing of this product.
Yet another reason to look at non Microsoft alternatives !
