Hello:
I apologize if this is the wrong group to post something like this, but I am
looking for some advice.
We have a Windows 2000 Server, hosting a relatively small number of web
sites. For several years, we have been running anti-virus software from a
well known and popular company, without any issues. Recently we downloaded
an update, and it created a significant memory leak, virtually bringing the
server to a standstill. (Software is not Norton or McAfee, both of whom have
had documented problems similar to this.) When we contacted their support
area, we were informed that the software is not compatible with Windows 2K
Server. We've looked at AVG's version for networks, which apprarently
supports Windows 2000 server, however, we found some reviews indicating that
it can create problems with the DNS servers. Since we are doing our own DNS,
we would prefer not to run any risks in this area.
So I guess my question is, does anyone have any recommendations regarding
anti-virus software for Windows 2K Server?
Steve
