Hello Best,

Thanks for your post.

I understand from you post that you want to make sure whether it is
possible to use "gpedit.msc" in XP Home Edition.

The answer is the utility is only available in the Windows XP Professional
Edition. Thank you for all the former replies.

"Gpedit.msc" is a Group Policy Editor to define user and computer
configurations for groups of users and computers. Because Windows XP Home
Edition is not designed to enter a domain, some domain related utilities
(for example: Gpedit.msc) are also not included in the Windows XP Home
Edition.

For more information of the Group Policy Editor, please refer to the
following URL:

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=307882 (You will find this article not
included the Windows XP Home Edition)

In addition, Mark and Will have given you the tool to replace Gpedit. Thank
them for the experience sharing.

If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to get in touch!

--------------------

Have a nice day!

Best regards,

Frances He
