Yeah, I saw that article as well and as with you, I am not ready to pay MS
to get a patch to fix thier defective software. I don't understand why they
would make us pay to receive a patch that fixes a problem with software they
wrote and distributed. They claim that charges may be dismissed, but you
wouldn't find out until after you've given them your credit card number and
risked paying them for the call.

I have been getting this myself the past 3 weeks now and a windows 2000
SP4 (SBS 2000)that has been running fine. No changes in Antivirus
software. The only things I have changed was running windows updates
that downloaded the last two months of windows updates and installing
the windows SMTP connector to get GFI Fax Server(on another server)
talking to our exchange server on the SBS2000 server. We also changed
out IP addressing scheme for our company about 4 weeks ago. This
happens about every 4 days before I have to reboot it to clear things
up.
If there are any suggestions please let me know. I have seen this
article in the MS knowledgebase -->
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;833266
I am not just ready to pay MS yet for support.
