Hi Martin,

Were you able to find a solution to your problem yet? I'm having the
same exact problem and can't seem to find an answer.

I'm getting this behavior when running through Remote Destop. I'm
connecting to a Windows XP Pro.(sp2) PC, running my application under
VS.NET 2003 in debug mode. My application starts unloading DLLs right
after its loaded 'winsta.dll'. Of course, when I access this PC
directly I dont have this issue.

I've also had this same error message (Application failed to initialize
properly... blablabla) after installing my app. on certain XP machines,
some virtual instals, some not? I can't seem to identify what in those
different installations is causing this error. I have narrowed down the
time when this problem started occuring and it seems to be when I added
the Visual Studio .NET 2003 redistributable libraries to the install
package (when moved from VC6 to VS.NET).

Any hints or help on this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Pierre L.
