Don't redirect it if you don't want them using it? That's the purpose of
redirecting to the network, so you have a common place, that's network
accessible, for ease of backup/recovery purposes, without have to backup
files on each individual machine.
The logon/logoff errors with synchronizing is caused by improper permissions
being assign to the profile (logon) for the redirected folder(s) on the
server. There is a MSKB doc on the proper configuration, but off the top of
my head I seem to remember they, the user, must have "FULL" permissions to
"THEIR" folder only - as it should be a hidden mapped share on the network
that only the "USER" and Domain Admins can see.
