Hi,
Our system administrator does not allow computers to stay running and logged
on overnight. Therefor he wrote a script that remotely shuts down all
computers using SHUTDOWN.EXE. But I need to run a task overnight once in a
while and the administrator will not change his script. I need network
access to complete the task.
How can I prevent the usage of the remote shutdown on my WinXP Pro SP2
computer? Do I need to change the registry keys, and if so, which keys? Or
any local policy? Change local rights and assignments? All users have local
Administrator rights (pretty good protection!), so editing the registry of
local policies is no problem.
Jeroen.
