Mike,

We do have Exchange 2003 but it's on a different subnet and domain along
with our other DC's and AD. We currently only have one DC running AD for
our internal use and that's it. For example, internal.ourdomain.com for our
internal use. The only reason why we are adding this "temp" win2003 box is
to have a backup of AD and DNS and so our internal users still have Internet
and access to files they might need while we take down the real primary DC
and upgrade it to win2003.

As for backing up FSMO role holders and the schema master we use Brightstor
11.1 which we did a full backup that includes the registry. Is there a way
to backup the Schema master to a disk or remote location or is it all tied
to the registry?

Thanks,

Dan
