Hi Mike,
Check out this KB article:
An access violation occurs in Lsass.exe and event IDs 1015 and 1000 are
logged in the application log on a Windows Server 2003 domain controller

If you think that this describes your problem, give Microsoft a call and
tell them that you need the patch described in KB 818080. They will provide
you with the patch free of charge.
