Windows XP cant see windows 2000 shares

issue:

windows xp pro, 2003 server and domain, and windows 2000

2003 server can see all computers but the 2000 workstation
xp can see all other computers on the network but cannot see 2000
workstation either

2000 workstation can see ALL shares of all others computer including
the domain server

why?

I am just trying to share the printer connected to the 2000
workstation. everyone has complete rights under security.
