I'm pretty stumped on this and am hoping someone could shed some light on
this for me.

For the last year and a 1/2 we've had a VPN over DSL connecting two of our
offices together.

Today (or perhaps yesterday afternoon) we've been having RPC connection
troubles, I am no longer able to issue a "net view \\computer" command to
the remote site and get a list of shares back. Likewise, if a PC at Site B
issues that command, they get nothing back from site A. In both cases a
"System error 64 has occured. The specified network name is no longer
available."

If I run the net view command against a server or workstation in site A
(from site a), I get a response and the resources are displayed. Likewise
if a workstation in Site B runs the command against a PC or server in site
B, the proper reponse is returned.

I don't get why this is occuring, I am able to ping all machines in the
remote site and get a reply back (windows firewall is turned off on all
pcs), they can ping machines in our site. As of Friday everything was fine.

- Site A has 2 2003 DCs (and master operations) Site B has 1 2003 DC
- All DCs are GCs
- sites are connected via SonicWall SOHO 3 boxes (both have been reset to
day)

I was initially leaning towards the sonicwalls blocking the services or
something between the offices, but nothing has changed with them and their
logs don't show anything out of place.

Any direction appreciated :)
