Well, bearing in mind that XP isn't a server OS, it sounds like the display
resolution/settings are not set to something that the monitor can handle. If
you plug the monitor directly into this box, can you get anything? Boot into
safe mode & set it at something lower?

What kind of KVM? Some of the cheap & cheerful ones can be problematic.
