Sounds to me, the firewall is still not setup properly.
You will need a simultaneuos network trace from both sides while producing
the error.
This will show proof positive what is not getting through.
Looks like the SMB session setup is failing. Likely on the RPC endpoint
mapper phase of the session setup.
