Hi,
You can setup second DHCP server like this.
If you use 192.168.0.0/24 subnet you should configure your first DHCP to
serve IP addresses from 192.168.0.50 - 192.168.0.150 (first 50 IP addresses
are reserved for e.g. servers, printers and clients that don't get IP
addresses assigned from DHCP). Second DHCP is configured with pool of IP
addresses from 192.168.0.151-192.168.0.254. All other parameters are set the
same on both DHCP servers (e.g. DNS servers clients will use, default
gateway, etc...).
This way you can run both servers at the same time. Clients will receive IP
addresses from first DHCP server that replies to their request. Downside of
this setup is, it is harder to use e.g. MAC reservations since you don't
know from which server client will receive the IP.
Feel free to post back if you need any additional information.
