Remote Desktop by default uses TCP port 3389.

To communicate between subnets you will have to setup router (Windows
computers can act as routers).
I would need more information about your network to help you out with
routing problem... (e.g. why two subnets, could you merge them together to
one subnet, which computers use 192.168.0.x and which 192.168.16.x ...)
