So you called the DNS name of your Active Directory Local ? (as well I
assume as the NetBIOS domain name.)
Can you set up the Active Directory again and this time use a more common
full qualified multi part DNS name for it for example Local.net or some form
of your own externally registered DNS namespace as per our recommended
practices for Serve 2003 Forest naming.
(For the purest out there I realise that Local. (with the dot) is a valid
DNS name but it represents a top level domain and notionally should not be
used)
