Hi John,

It depends on your upgrade path. If you have evaluation of Windows 2003
Enterprise Edition you can simply upgrade to retail version Windows 2003
Enterprise Edition. You shouldn't lose any setting or any data.

Note that you can't "upgrade" from Windows 2003 EE to Windows 2003 SE. If
you decide to get Windows 2003 Standard Edition, you will have to do a clean
install, but for this to work, you don't have to format your hard drives.
This leaves your data files intact. Just make sure, you don't erase existing
partitions or format them when doing reinstallation.

Before you decide to do any kind of upgrade, make sure you have a good
backup of your server.

I hope this helps,

Mike
