So anybody have any ideas on what to do next?

I can't re-install from the CD because it hangs at the starting windows
section.

I can't upgrade by booting in Directory services restore mode and starting
setup from there because setup wants to reboot and my machine won't boot.

Maybe re-installing is not the way to go here, it seems like it's just some
corrputed file, like drvmain.sdb or something else that is hanging the system
on boot.

With so many users out there experiencing the same problem I 'm hoping some
OS wizard out there who knows enough about the XP/win2003 Server OS can help
us all figure out what has happened. It maight happen again and I don't want
to be wiping my system for a new install when it does.

Please help.
